On a day in which I am torn between anger and sorrow, this video was just what the Dr. ordered. The Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders put together a video to help lift the spirits of our troops stationed in Afghanistan. It was obviously effective because some of the guys created their own response video that matched the girls move for move. Watch closely, you have two groups of young people unselfishly trying to help each other and yet the backdrop of the troops show just how different their conditions are.
This is what life should be like. With just a small effort, a service man overseas has his frown turned into a big smile. I wish I had something like this when I was in Viet Nam!!!
That is an incredible video by the guys in Afghanistan.
Especially considering the Miami Dolphin girls undoubtedly had a producer, director, three cameramen, grips, lighting designers, choreographers, electricians, carpenters, set decorators, video editors, etc. Maybe 30 or 40 staff to do that video.
It could have cost hundreds of thousands of dollars to produce.
The guys in Afghanistan had none of that, maybe only one or two small cameras, an amateur cameraman, and maybe one computer to edit it all on.
No resources and look at the job they did! Now that’s what’s incredible.
